The T89C51CC01 has an ISP bootloader that can be started from software. However, it appears that the WDT resets the processor after the bootloader starts running, causing the processor to start running the old application. Is there any way around this?
do a watchog disable (or do not start it). A good WD can not be disabled when started I do not know the TI chips, thus the duality in the answer.
However, as I believe that TI (as opposed to some others) think before they make a chip, I guess the WD can not be disabled, in such a case it would not be an 'undue burden' to request bootload command to be entered, say, within 10 seconds after reset and enable the WD after such time.
