Hi, I'm using the LPC2368 eval board MCB2360 and ready to lay out the board. Can you help me with thee questions below for laying out my board?
1. How many layers of board of MCB2300? 2. How many GND and VCC planes are present in the board?
Hi Erik, My customer only wants to make sure that they do their board correctly since the Keil eval board is working well. They don't have time to redo the PCB because of not follow the ref. design. Thanks.
Your reasoning is backwards.
You are effectively saying:
1. Keil used n layers for their board;
2. Their board works;
3. Therefore n layers must be right for my board.
It doesn't necessarily work that way!
You need to understand the principles which need to be applied in order to decide how many layers to use.
Your requirements and/or processes might be entirely different to Keil's - so simply copying their numbers of layers without understanding why they chose them could give totally invalid result in your particular application!
And, of course, the number of layers is only one of very many elements in the overall design.
I think you need to hire a proper PCB designer who understands the issues!
