I have been happily using Keil 3.12a with the old ulink. When I connect the new ulink2, windows found and installed the necessary drivers ok. But when trying to go into debug in Keil, it says; 'no ulink device found'.
Is there anything I need to do with Keil to make it look for the new ulink2..?
I have tried before to install the ulink2 on my PC, maybe I have installed it incorrectly..?
regards marcus.
You need to update the uVision software. ULINK2 support is available with MDK version 3.04 or higher (this was released in Dec. 2006).
Thanks for the reply.
I thought I had the right version.
I open the uVision3 application and look at the 'About uVision' and it states :
IDE-Version: µVision3 V3.12a Copyright (c) Keil Elektronik GmbH / Keil Software, Inc. 1995 - 2005
License Information: Marcus Pollard xxxx LIC=xxxxxx
Tool Version Numbers: Toolchain Path: C:\Program Files\ARM\RVCT\Programs\2.2\349\win_32-pentium\ C Compiler: ARMCC.Exe Assembler: ARMASM.Exe Linker/Locator: ARMLINK.Exe Librarian: ARMAR.Exe Hex Converter: FROMELF.Exe CPU DLL: SARM.DLL V1.25 Dialog DLL: DARMAT.DLL V1.04 Target DLL: BIN\UL2ARM.DLL V1.07 Dialog DLL: TARMAT.DLL V1.03
Is this correct?
Regards Marcus.
The version you have is MDK 2.50 (from beginning of 2006). You need at least MDK 3.04 or higher.

the penny drops ;)
many thanks. Marcus.
Keil should really do something about version numbering.
From the version dump, it is definitely not easy to try to deduce the MDK version.
