I have writen a piece of code which I want to compile. When I try to "Build Target". An error message pops up.
"Tool Path not defined: bad or missing 'C:\Keil\TOOLS.INI"
I have checked where this file is present in the directory........ and it turned out to be there. I have checked all paths which are correct.
I even reinstalled the software but the error is still poping up.
I haven't able to figured out why this is happening.
It will be helpful if anybody provide any link or steps to solve this problem.
Thanks
If you open tools.ini and look closely at it you may discover that there's an error in it relative to your installation. There's lot's of paths in it that point to lots of things. Maybe somethings missing.
That's where I'd start...
Good luck !!
Thanks Dave Sudolcan for your suggestion.
I looked at the tools.ini file but unfortunately couldn't found any line corresponding to given error. I even turned off the option Use Settings from TOOLS.INI from the Setup File Extensions, Books and Environment .
The error still pops up. One think I like to mention is that I don't have write\edit access to TOOLS.INI on the computer.
Inaddition to this, are there any documents available regarding the discriptions of TOOLS.INI directives. What they means etc.
Hope that someone will give an encouraging response.
Thanks for your time and kind consideration
