is it time for required registration?

there has been several posts lately by "identity thieves". Most other fora in this area require registration including e-mail address (which is not published). Is it time for required registration?

  • All of the other forums I participate in allow 'free' browsing, but require login to post. Having to login here wouldn't trouble me in the least.
all fora (forums - let's not start arguing this) I participate in feature the option of 'automatic login' (this 'cleaning lady' has no idea whether that is a forum feature or a web feature or Gatesian) and the 'effort' of once in your lifetime to enter name and password etc is, of course, way too much to bear.
If anyone do not 'get' that "way too much to bear" is irony, they are now informed.

One final thought: Craig has the "protected e-mail function", that is a very nice feature.

PS: cleaning ladies "do not do windows"
