I am trying to do modem communication , but basically i do not know anything about it i have read the AT commands and i am able to dial from 1 modem to another then use ATA to pick up but after communicating they both return no-carrier. I just don't know any thing about modems so could some body help me in pointing to where i can find some thing related to this. I read previous messages about software flow controls. but the manual i got with my modem is a small hand book and just gives a few at commands and also i am using an very old type 36kbps & 56kbps Dlink external modem to communicate.
Please tell me what i should read to do modem communication. once i am able to do it on the PC using comdebug i might be able to implement the same in micro controller
