As you are probably now aware, we have implemented a new discussion forum format that fits in better with the web site design.
All prior forum threads have been moved over and are available. The old links to them even work (so you can still find information on Google and other search engines).
We have added a few features with regards to formatting. These are available under settings.
Please reply to this thread with your comments and suggestions.
Thanks, Jon
The search function don't regard the settings of Product family. I get a lot of threads from NONE ,C51 and C166 when I'm searching inside the Arm7 tools set.
Can you give me an example of the search query and the response that souldn't be there?
I checked the search results pretty thoroughly a while back, we fixed some problems, and I was pretty sure everything worked correctly.
Jon
Hi Jon, you need an example? Start the advanced search and select a Product Family: Arm7,ARM9, and Cortex-M3 Products Fill in Search for with something e.g. finction pointer. As Categories select only forum. Than search and wonder why a lot of NONE appears.
If I want to read NONES I don't select Arm!
greetings - Günter
OK - Try it now - It's fixed.
Yes, I little bit is changed.
But if I search for 'agsi I2c' in all Keil products but only inside the Discussion Forum I get Product News and not the postings where I know that they exists.
And than I think in the Product selection box NONE should be added.
It's a common behaviour that fixing 1 bug produce 2 others... The search dialog contains more unexpected results.
Finished ... not really
Thanks for that. These was a filter in place that eliminated forum results from the main search page.
I've considered reclassifying forum threads that started as "none" so that they index better. Maybe I should go on and do that.
