So, you can't choose ARM9 Development Tools as the product...but this is regarding the ARM9 Development tools. Can anyone make it work? Right out of the box (after the update download) the ARM tools seem to assemble/compile/link the example project (blinky) and ULINK tools seem to erase and download properly, but the board does NOTHING! I can't even blink an LED. Anyone else had issues? FYI this is the evaluation copy of RealView that came with the Eval Kit.
It is 6/1/2006. I just reveived an email containing a project from the ARM9 team at ST. It works! but they haven't told me what they had to change. They did state however, that they were able to reproduce the exact problem there in Chicago. Apparently there are some setup options that are wrong out of the box for the blinky projects. What is the difference between blinky in the ST folder vs. blinky in the Keil folder? How come there are so many blinky projects?
The first devices (that we got in April for prototypes) had a different PLL setting. This causes the trouble. Reinhard
Mine does the same thing. Will there be a new startup file posted than the June 1 version?
There will be a new RealView MDK version end of next week that addresses all these issues. If you need a blinky sooner that this, please contact support. Reinhard
Please disregard my previous post. I was compiling the wrong version. The one from the addendum works fine. Sorry for the confusion. Dave
Do you still have the updated blinky project that you got from ST? My board fails too.
Yes, I still have the project. Shoot me a message to scottc _AT vantagecontrols _DOT in the COM domain and I can forward it on.
