Keil has an excellent utility keil baudrate calculator http://www.keil.com/c51/baudrate.asp It is starting to show its age, and "correction factors" should be published for modern chips (e.g. SILabs) Forum: I will gladly contribute, anyone else ? Keil: will you include? Erik
"correction factor" what I mean is that for eaxmple for one SILabs in one configuration the calculator works if you select T2 and multiply your clock by 4 Erik
Maybe it'd be more appropriate if SiLabs (and others) were to provide equivalent tools that accounted for the particular foibles of their specific products...
absolutely, but I do not believe thet will ever happen. The Keil tool works wunnerful with "correction factors" and IS available, which is more than you can say about tools from the manufacturers. BTW SILabs does provide it if you are willing to spend time on a lenghty procedure. Erik
