Is that any one can help me on ISP for AT89S54
What help do you require?
I have never heard about AT89S54. Could you give link to its datasheet, please? Regards, Oleg
Unable to attached data sheet. Please access http://www.po-star.com/upPdf/at89s54-58-64.pdf for the data sheet. It is suprise to me that this product is not listed in Atmel site and hardly can get any support on this chip. Your advise is appreciated.
Thanks for the response. I will like to find out as AT89S54 is a product of Atmel, but why there is no support infor in Atmel site. Is that this is an outdated product or there is some other reason. At this moment, I am keen to find more infor on In-System programming for this chip. Regards
I guess you have stumbled upon one of these wonderful bootleg parts. If Atmel does not "know" an AT89s part TRASH IT IMMEDIATELY, you open yourself up to all kinds of trouble. Some participants here have tried using bootleg parts and all regretted it. Erik
Hello, Atmel provides the list of produced devices here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/devices.asp?family_id=604 As about that datasheet you posted link to, so it seems like a fake due many details, for example: - Atmel has never produced AT89Sxx with software bootloader; all AT89Sxx have ISP-via-SPI only; - SPI is described but not indicated at pinout; - block diagram seems incomplete; - all the description is very similar to AT89C51RB2,RC2 and RD2, read here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/product_card.asp?part_id=3044" Drop to use derivatives which are not public indicated by Atmel itself at their site. Regards, Oleg
