Sorry, I typically keep this on hand, but can't find it. I'm looking for a link to the standard Intel pdf document that details everything about the generic 51FX part. I believe it even includes the instruction set breakdown, etc. Many thanks. R. Wey
Found these off another posting That would be the documents commonly referred to as the "bible" for the 8051: Chapter 1 - 80C51 Family Architecture: http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/various/80C51_FAM_ARCH_1.pdf Chapter 2 - 80C51 Family Programmer's Guide and Instruction Set: http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/various/80C51_FAM_PROG_GUIDE_1.pdf Chapter 3 - 80C51 Family Hardware Description: http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/various/80C51_FAM_HARDWARE_1.pdf
for Fx, I would recommend this one as well: The PCA cookbook http://www.intel.com/design/mcs51/applnots/270609.htm Erik
Thank you gentlemen. Those look like the ones. I have an "embedded guy" coming in next week and while he seems fairly sharp, he has no '51 experience so I thought I'd email him some intro material. Thx again.
I have an "embedded guy" coming in next week I hope for you he is a "small embedded" guy, some "embedded guys" (correctly named) can not even think below 1Mbyte. Many embedded projects these days rival a PC in power and complexity. Erik
