Problem Programming the MSC1210Y5

I am using the MSC1210Y5 for my project. The probelm that I find with using this product is that the most of the ICs just fail to get programmed!!!!I am using TI downloader for the programming. As much as 50% of the ICs are not gettin programmed!!!The downloader just flashes a message "No Response to Initail CR"...Anyone else facing the same problem??

  • 1 more question...Does the In Circuit Programming Option in the MSC1210 require adiitional pins to be used for entering the programming mode???Right now I am using the Serial Port 1 pins (Rx & Tx) pins for communication with the Serial port & the ALE and PSEN pins for the Serial Mode of Programming. Is it also required to use additional pins for PC communication like DTR,DSR & other such standard RS-232 signals???
