communication to PC application

How does your firmware running on the 8051 on the cy7c68013a-56pvxc send data back to an application running on the PC?
Are there examples of how to set this up?

  • I've never heard of that particular chip, but the almost universal solution for interfacing small computers to others is the ubiquitous RS232. Almost every embedded system controller in existence has hardware support for this interface, and so did every PC, until the Wintel mafia decreed that all ports other than USB were un-holy.
