I tried to get a LIC, because with my new Laptop I have no longer a parallel port. But this doesn't work, because my service date expired. Actually I don't need a newer version, because compiler functionality reached a state, which is quiet good, even more than I can use. Is it really necessary to pay about 800€ service charge for one year to get my actual software run on the new PC ? My other software vendor replaced the parallel dongle against an usb dongle. There was just an exchange fee for handling and dongle hardware cost. Erik Schwarz
Please note once again, this is not a Keil monitored web site. While Keil does frequently answer some questions, they do not attempt to answer question best answered by sales or tech support. The people that answer on this forum are experts in programming embedded controllers, but I doubt if any want to answer a sales question. I have found that a quick call to the Keil support desk does wonders for LIC problems.
thanks for your answers. Keil offered an exchange to USB-Dongle for a 50€ handling fee, which is a good solution. Erik Schwarz
