" i am going to do a project , interfacing cctv with microcontroller and to see the picture in the pc. for this i need help, please give me how to interface cctv to microcontroller and how to display that in the pc.(how to show the image)" Just connect the CCTV directly to the PC. You'll need a video acquisition card that accepts whatever the CCTV output is (probably composite video).
"Just connect the CCTV directly to the PC" But he said he wants to connect it to his 8051. I thought you said we should just assume that he knows what he's up to, and help him to do it...? ;-)
"But he said he wants to connect it to his 8051. I thought you said we should just assume that he knows what he's up to, and help him to do it...? ;-)" Well, he did state that the objective was to display the picture on the PC and I gave him a simple solution for that. At least I made a suggestion instead of just demanding to know why he wanted to do it. Anyway, go easy on me. I've still got to reply to Erik on the 'I say tomato, you say tomayto' thread.
"At least I made a suggestion instead of just demanding to know why he wanted to do it." Well, actually, I asked "What?" - not "Why?" It's not clear whether he wants the 8051 to handle the actual video signals, or just do some sort of control functions - like pan, tilt, etc. In order to "help" we need to be clear exactly what it is he wants "help" with...
"Anyway, go easy on me. I've still got to reply to Erik on the 'I say tomato, you say tomayto' thread." Just you wait til Erik sees the one that's tryomg to port UNIX to an 8051...!! :-0 http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread6208.asp#msg28048
Just you wait til Erik sees the one that's trying to port UNIX to an 8051 That is not even worth a reaction. I try to help with uC problems, not react to comedy. Erik
"Well, actually, I asked "What?" - not "Why?"" Sorry, I was referring to the general climate rather than your specific post. "In order to "help" we need to be clear exactly what it is he wants "help" with..." Sure, and I agree that when the questions are as non-specific as this one more information is required to give a meaningful answer. My complaint about 'Why do you want to do that' arises when the question is fairly specific but refers to one of the three things whose names I shall not mention.
"That is not even worth a reaction. I try to help with uC problems, not react to comedy." Oh go on, then I can agree with you.
Oh go on, then I can agree with you. and take away all the fun? Erik
