hey i really don't have much background on PIC. But i would like to know if it is possible to detect a certain frequency at a given range? This is for a possible project proposal. thanks. u can send me an email at janvanishing82@yahoo.com
u can send me an email at janvanishing82@yahoo.com No. You write it here, you read it here. hey i really don't have much background on PIC. But i would like to know if it is possible to detect a certain frequency at a given range? Yes, it is possible. Oh, but hey, you've got the wrong forum. PIC forums are <----- over there!
Yes. You don't mention many details, but here's a couple of example projects that use a PIC to detect signals of particular frequencies, one infrared and the other DTMF. http://www.rentron.com/PicBasic/infrared_object_detection.htm http://www.dattalo.com/technical/theory/dtmf.html I'm not sure what you mean by "at a certain range". If you mention a range of frequencies, then yes, that should be a straightforward extension to the software. If you mean range from transmitter to receiver, then it's going to depend on your receiver. Perhaps you can get a received power level from it that is useful to indicate range? Round-trip ping delay?
