Sorry if this has been discussed before. I first did a search and couldn't find anything, so... 1) Ctrl+Tab switching between open files: It would be nice if Ctrl+Tab switching between files would remain with the last two files viewed based on the delay between Ctrl+Tab usage. Only when you switch faster than X does it move on to other open files. 2) Pop Context neede for "Goto Definition Of X": The "Goto Definition of xxx" is a nice feature. Would be especially nice if you could return back to where you were just as easily. Just some thoughts, and again sorry if these have already been discussed.
Vim-like text editing. Visible line numbers. Letting pg-up/pg-dn move the cursor, not just the view. Are reg exps supported in search?
Hmmm. My pg-up/dn moves the cursor.
Vim-like text editing Why on earth?? Would it not be 1,000,000 times better to have the standard editor interface so any editor could be used? Erik
Oops, I meant the mouse wheel.
Yes, that would be a lot better, but probably complicated to interface with the current GUI. I have no basis for this reasoning, just a hunch.
Oops, I meant the mouse wheel. Yes...that one doesn't move the cursor, but I'm not so sure you want it to, do you? It lets you adjust the view relative to the cursor without actually moving the cursor. One could, however, use the Ctrl+mousewheel to do so. ??? BTW, another one I noticed is in the Browser window. When you select a symbol, it shows its definition and reference list in the right pane, yet an intuitive double-click an entyr in the list does nothing. To go to the source, you must right click and then select the only option on the popup. Makes no sense. I know its difficult to create and evolve an IDE like this while avoiding creeping elegance at the same time, but I feel the suggestions I've mentioned are needed and rather obvious.
For me it is CodeWright with a VI keymap or nothing at all. Thank you Borland for killing the greatest editor ever.
Thank you Borland for killing the greatest editor ever. And from those of us that remember "Brief", thank you for doing it AGAIN Erik
It looks like you are not using uVision3 in the moment. Most of the features that are requested here are already implemented there. For example in the toolbar there is now a "Back to Previos Position". "Find" supports regular expressions and so one.
Just installed uV3. VERY nice improvements. The double click in the browser would be nice, but I'm not going to complain. Kudos to Keil for this major improvement!!!
