    2) may not be required, depending on where in the world you are, and which particular version you have.

    4) the specific manual to read first is, rather unsurprisingly, called the uVision Getting Started guide - cryptic, eh?

    You will find it in the 'Books' tab in the uVision Project window.

    You should work through the example Projects in the uVision Getting Started guide. This will give you a proper introduction to the tools, how they work, and how to use them

    If you have the CD, there are (or were when I last had one) some introductory videos on it.
