Flash Programming Error in Block: 0x00000 - 0x00000

I've put together a very simple circuit using a uPSD3433EV and am trying to program it for the first time with minimal code using the ULink adapter. It seems to pass the Flash+PLD/ACR erase stages but then bombs when programming Block 0 with the error message.

Flash Programming Error in Block: 0x00000 - 0x00000

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Peter.

  • Scoping around the signals looking for activity whilst I hit the 'Load' key I found that the VCC line was dipping during programming. Yikes!
I'm using a MAX640 DC-DC converter which doesn't seem to have enough guts to drive the device during programming.

Attacking the ULink programmer with a screwdriver I put the jumper to internal 3.3v and all is now well.
