HI All, Can anyone help me in knowing what is the frequncy of operation of 8051 controller in a MCBx51 Board? Is it 12Mhz or 24 Mhz? B'coz when I am configuring the timer value for 9600 baud, with 12 Mhz it can be recieved only at 19200 baud. Thats why i think that the frequency of operation will be 24 Mhz.
hi, you have not specified the derivative used. It seems you use the part with X2 clock mode. In this case if you turn X2 mode on, then built-in peripheral works at twice speed (as long as you do not disable this feature with individual peripherals' X2 bits). Regards, Oleg
