I would like to use the Radiometrix modules tx2rx2 in a project. As this is my first experience with these modules I would like to find out if you simply connect one micro's TX pin to the TX2 module's TX pin and similarly with the receiver side and RX. The datasheet of these modules don't carry enough info to say if you simply send serial data to it from a micro. If anyone has had experience with these modules please share.Thank you.
From the Radiometrix website: "If you have any technical enquires please send an E-mail to our technical support team at tech_support@radiometrix.co.uk" http://www.radiometrix.co.uk/apps/apnt000.htm
From the Datasheet: TXD: This DC coupled modulation input will accept either serial digital data ( 0V to Vcc levels) or high level linear signals. Input impedance. AF: This is a buffered and filtered analogue output from the FM demodulator ... to drive linear decoders. RXD: This digital output from the internal data slicer is a squared version of the signal on pin 6 (AF). http://www.radiometrix.co.uk/dsheets/tx2rx2.pdf So, whatever you put into TXD at the transmitter comes out of AF at the receiver, and a squared-off version at RXD. All subject, of course, to the usual vagaries of any RF link...
