RTX51 & Cygnal C8051F02X

Hello all,

Has anyone used RTX51 Full with Cygnal C8051F02X MCUs? If so, do you have modified RTXCONF.A51 and RTXSETUP.DCL files for these? Or can you just use one of the other already defined CPU types with the Cygnal chips?

Thanks for any help,
Paul

  • The new RTX-51 version 7.00 support this chip. It has extended configuration of 246 devices with 43 different CPU types.

    Which version are you using?

This makes support a lot easier.

  • Sorry for the previous post but your message board did something strange when I tried to preview the message. I wanted to go back to edit it and could not. So I returned to the preview and sent it. But what was posted was not what was now showing in the preview screen. Odd.

Anyway, I have already contacted support via email, but as noted in the overview for this forum; "Keil Software personnel do not monitor this forum. Instead, this forum is monitored and questions are answered by other customers", I was also trying to get some input for other users if they had any experience with Cygnal chips and RTX-51.

The previous post should have been:

We have bought the CA51 compiler kit (which is version 7 and does support the Cygnal chips) and FR51 (RTX-51 full). In RTX-51 you must configure the RTXSETUP.DCL file for the processor type you are using. But only about twenty or so processors are defined in this file and none for Cygnal. This definition sets up the proper interrupt structure for the target processor, among other things, to work with RTX-51. You can see the currently defined processors in the RTXSETUP.DCL file which does not seem to have been modified since 1997. My question is; can one of the currently defined types be used as is for the Cygnal chips or will I have to modify the RTXSETUP.DCL and RTXCONF.A51 files to support the Cygnal chips?

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • There is now a new RTX51 Full Version 7 available. If you are within support (purchased within the past 12 months) this version is free of charge for you.

Please email to support.intl@keil.com along with the purchase information and we will send you this update.

  • We just bought and received CA51 (Ver 7) and FR51 (RTX-51 Full Ver 5.10b) last week and I registered them Friday. Are you sure there is a RTX-51 version 7 and I would not have received a newer version than 5.10b as late as last week? I am not trying to be dificult here, our email is down this this morning and I can receive email but not send or I would ask the tech support I am talking to about this. He sent me an email this morning that he was looking into it but did not say anything about a newer version (and I know he knows what version I have because it was in the email). Again thanks for your help, I am just under some time pressure to get this project working and my email is down. :( Typical Monday morning!

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Does it support the C8051F04x chips?

The web site does not seem to be updated with the latest supported chips.

  • In the RTX 7.0 Setup Inc file that I received shows support only for the following Cygnal chips;

    ;Cygnal C8051F005/6/7 39 [*2]
    ;Cygnal C8051F015/16/17 39 [*2]
