I have followed all, the instructions on the Keil knowledge base for downlaoding programs to the MCB development board. I have now installed the software from a lap top to a networked PC and have again followed all the settings but I constantly get the message ------ Error: can't execute '"FM.EXE" "DEVICE(P89LPC932,12.0) ERASE(DEVICE,PROTECTISP) HEXFILE(C:\Keil\C51\EXAMPLES\ALAN TEST\SERIAL.HEX,NOCHECKSUMS,NOFILL,PROTECTISP) COM(1,9600) HARDWARE(KEILMCB900)"' I can access the board and IC via flash magic ok. the programs work and can be downloaded without error from Laptop! Has anyone any ideas??
Hi Alan, you have to locate the FlashMagic tool for the uVision GUI. Did you select the target 'MCB-900 Run'? Then open "Project/Options for target 'MCB-900 Run'" in the GUI menue, click on the utilities card and select 'Use external tool for Flash programming'. In the 'Command' field you have to enter the path of your FM.EXE. If the arguments line is ok for you, it might work now. At the moment I'm using the FlashMagic tool as stand-alone application, the arguments line doesn't work for me, I just have to find out why. Franz
