I am running the C51 compiler, Version 7.06. The linker is failing in Windows 98. The compiler runs and links OK in Windows 2000 but in Windows 98 (and 95) the linker just hangs. Older versions of C51 work just fine on all operating systems. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? Jim
Must be something particular to your Win9x boxes, then. I'm working with 7.06 on a Win98 SE (Second Edition) box here, without any problems. Likely candidates to cause such problems are blanks in any of the directories involved, and on-access virus scanners. As to older versions of Keil working on all everywhere, you're deluding yourself. Truly old versions of Keil stand essentially no chance whatsoever to work on a 2000 or XP box.
