Hello. I'm trying to use simulated serial port with MCB167-NET. I've burned the monitor program in FLASH (two devices, one for even and the other for odd). For the simulated serial I've chosen P8.4 and P8.5 pins of the CS167-LM device. I've changed the config.ini file of the monitor program I've burned in the FLASH. I put the switch number 4 (BSL) off. But I cannot download my program to the RAM, it finds a transmission error. With a logic analizer, I can see the CS0 (for the ROM) is oscilling, and the CS1 (for the RAM is off all the time. What I'm doing wrong? Should I change some of the configuration jumpers? I've tried to put EA off, but then the CS0 is always ON. Can anybody help me? Thank you
Hi Beatriz, Did you also change the INST167.A66 file to use the new port pins? I would also suggest that you CAREFULLY review EACH setting in the CONFIG.INC file to see if it can prevent the monitor from working. I remember it took me a few iterations to get the monitor in ROM working. - mike
