I want use C51 (v5.5) without uVision with an editor like credit on Win98. The editor can start any application and read error lines from the redirected output window (DOS-Box), place the cursor in the error line etc. When I start c51 without redirecting output it works well. When I run it with redirection, after compilation, the compiler displays "General failure error reading drive È"(note that that is charactor 200, not 'E') and hangs. Does anyone have suggestions as to why this is happening or how to correct it? Hans Schneider
