is XC167 ready for prime time?

I get the impression from Infineon and Keil that although the XC167 is supported (alive), it's not quite ready for prime time. Infineon's DaVE doesn't seem to include it in its device profile. I was wondering if anyone was using this CPU and what troubles they ran into trying to utilize its unique capabilities.

  • Hi Marty,

    thanks for you feedback.
At your point of view you are right.
Pin compatibility is unfortunately not given.

CAN stack may be too, I am not experienced this way.
For I2C there is a new driver,
CAN must be expand for the possibilities of TwinCAN module.
Actually I test a beta for the XC16x LIN low level driver.
( Port to KEIL IDE is done, but hardware test is a "TO DO" ).

For migration there is a good document available, but I guess you have it read too.
