Hi, I am using uVision 2 (with V6.02 compiler) on a Windows XP professional machine. I find that uVision will not start once the machine has been shut down. The only solution I have found so far is to uninstall uVision and then reinstall it at the begining of the day. Has anyone any ideas regarding this problem? In addition I get problems during installation. It never seems to start the installation procedure property but simply locks up and requires a CNTR-ALT-DEL to abort the installation. This however leaves several tasks running, "wow.exe" is one of them I think. When the install fails I shut the machine down which causes Windows to complain about a 16-bit application that must be forced to stop (wow.exe presuably). Any ideas on this matter would also be helpfull. Regards Dave Jones
I have an administrators account so that should not be causing the problem. uVision only gets as far as its splash screen but shows the project correctly.
