how to interface TN LCD using 8051 ? How to write Codes connected to TN LCD?

Hi,

How to interface Twisted Nematic LCD(7 segment type) to 8051??
can it be directly driven? without using LCD controller/driver? i am using AT89LS8252.
i am using one free port and some pin available.
