Any one using RTOS? what's a "clock task"?

I am beginning to evaluate the feasibility of intergrating a RTOS (RTX-FULL) into my 166 applications.

Does any one know exactly what's meant by a "clock task" mentioned in both the configuration .H file?

The manual did not clearly define this item.
