The fastest I/O would be through the external bus. Connect it this way:
8251 ST10F168 ------------------------------ CS CSx - any unused CS RD RD WR WR C/D Ax - any address pin RESET any general purpose output CLK clock generator: PWM or CapCom
hi thanks mike we are using the 8051 to communicate betwwen a modem and the ST10f168 so we need the RD and WC to communicate for the modem.can you please tell me wether we use the st10f168 P0L to communicate with the 8251.If yes is there any special setting we need to do??? thanks regards
