l.s., I want to use the In System/Application Programming feature of the 89c66x by using the i2c protocol. Normally this can be performed by RS232 and WinISP of Philips, however...I want to download my new software by using the i2c. The boot code is programmed in the 89c66x using a parallel programmer and therefor has to be changed. Any ideas or example code? thanks, ***.
First, get rid of WinIsp. Second, download FlashMagic from http://www.esacademy.com Third, there is no IIC way to program the chip, you must use a serial port, unless you want to write your own bootloade. Fourth, get AN-416 from Philips, the method for Rx2 and 66x is the same. Fifth, send me a ping and I will send you the method for updating code w/o switches and such. Sixth, have fun Erik
