C161U - getting started

I have the Infineon Easy Utah eval board with C161U installed. I'm at the confused stage... Anyone out there with similar problems? Maybe we could trade answers!

  • How did this work out? I am looking at the C161U now for a new project.

  • It has been an up hill struggle. However using the C161U has gotten much better recently. Infineon has posted a set of USB Drivers on their site. These appear to work and I've been able to enumerate my eval board. Also, Keil has their JTAG/OCDS going for the eval board. So far this seems to work very well. I purchased a Windows USB driver from B-Square. The combination of these tools makes getting to the enumeration point relatively simple and direct. I've been working off/on on the C161U for over a year. Things weren't so simple a year ago!

  • I recently started a project using the C161U on our own board (no eval). Unfortunately the USB driver are not available anymore on the Infineon site. I tried the DAvE tool to create a base driver and for my understanding at least the enumertion should work. But it doesn't. Does anybody can help or provide the drivers from Infineon.

    Many thanks.
