I successfully built a target using a set of files in Group 1 (the only group). I removed a file from the group because I intended to replace it. To do this, I right-clicked the file and clicked delete. A window came up and prompted me if I wanted to delete it. I clicked Yes. However, the file still appears in the file list. Question. Why keep a file in the project that is no longer wanted? I did some other things and was able to get a red X across the file's icon. However, I still can't get it out of the project list. Question. How do I get the file removed from the project list? (uVision version is V2.12.)
I have confirmed that the file is not 'read only'. Should I delete the file also?
This is a known bug in uVision; fixed in the latest release (2.14) It was discussed at some length in this forum not so long ago - try a search
I re-ran up166v12.exe. Evidently this is for C16x tools, not for uvision. I looked at the 'file download area' again. But I do not understand which is the uVision upgrade 2.14. Thanks.
The download area doesn't always seem to have the very lateset versions. If you have support, contact Keil direct. The version of uVision seems to be randon with respsect to the overall "toolchain" version (as do many of the other component versions within the toolchain!) I have uVision v2.14, which came in C51 v6.14.
