Is C51 v5.50 compatible with Windows 2000 ? When I try to run it, simple \keil\c51\bin> C51.EXE then compiler not work and not print any message, and system wait...
It worked for me just fine under NT 4.0 and 2000. Then I switched to v6.01. - Mark
>It worked for me just fine under NT 4.0 and 2000. You can work under Windows 2000 with C51 v5.xx only if you have non-protected (via hardware key on LPT) version. I think, this is due to old Sentinel driver (snti386.dll) working under Windows NT don't work under Windows 2000.
You are correct. Thus US versions of Keil do not come with dongles. For LPT based dongles you will need to get proper NT/2000 driver. - Mark
