According to the list at http://www.keil.com/update/versions.asp the current version of C51 is V6.11. The compiler we're using is V6.10 (reported by uVision and also by c51 from command line), after downloading and installing V6.10a from the web. What's the difference between V6.10 and V6.11? Is it wise to upgrade? Where to get V6.11? Loet Heinemans
Well, I've been asking the same question regarding v6.10 both direct to Keil and on this forum for over a month now! If Keil can't even say what's the difference between v6.10a/b/c/d/e/??? and its predecessor, v6.03, what chance do we now stand with v6.11!? Sorry, end of rant.
V6.11 has not yet been posted to the web site. There are still a few features with simulation that we are adding that we know that everyone will ask for. Therefore, we are getting this support added before we post this update to the web site. The biggest change in 6.11 is support for devices with more than 64K of code/xdata space. This includes the Analog Devices ADuC812 as well as the Dallas 390. As for the changes in 6.10a/b/c/d/e each of these releases corrects only one minor problem each. I'm sorry we don't have updated changes documents, yet. However, they will be posted to the web as soon as they are available. Jon
