Can version 5.10 of the 8051 tools be run on Windows 2000? I am having some strange problems running the assembler and compliler. I haven't tried the linker yet. Thanks, Paul.
I cannot imagine why they wouldn't run. Be sure you have all 8.3 formatted file names. Be sure the path to the files you are compiling are no greater than 8 chars. per dir. Be sure you do not feed the programs any file or dir name with a ~ in it. Best of all, upgrade to v6.02, it is much nicer in many respects. Much faster to build too. - Mark
