Gentlemen, Does anybody know how to switch 89C51Rx2 into 12-clock mode? M.P.
Clearly I didn't understand the point you were making in your previous post, can you explain it again Stefan, we both have (tried to) make more than one point in this discussion, exactly what point do you refer to? Erik
"Stefan, we both have (tried to) make more than one point in this discussion, exactly what point do you refer to?" The following bit: "Let us take the following exchange Stefan: How do I do x Erik: du tager an kniv og skaerer forbindelsen mellem modstand nummer 4 og chip ben 27 Stefan: thank you, it solved my problem Where would that leave the rest of the forum members?" I take this to mean that you think all discussions should take place in english *because* those who only speak english would otherwise be excluded from the discussion. I replied that I think the most important issue is that the questioner has received and understood a satisfactory answer. Stefan
I take this to mean that you think all discussions should take place in english *because* those who only speak english would otherwise be excluded from the discussion. I replied that I think the most important issue is that the questioner has received and understood a satisfactory answer. That can be argued. What is the purpose of a forum if not for everyone to follow the discussion. Just visualize: A problem is posted and answered in swahili, the next day the very same problem is posted and answered in spanish, the next day in greek and so on. If these posts had been in the world language (english) anyone after the first question and answer would have the answer at their fingertips. However, what brought me on the soapbox was that the poster could easily have posted in english: quoting from the message tu peux utiliser un logiciel gratuit "Flash Magic" disponible sur http://www.esacademy.com/ c'est un programmeur série ISP. Indicates clearly that the poster can understand english, how else would he be able to use FlashMagic which has only english instructions. If someone is incapable of english, that is another story, but being capable of english and insisting on promoting another language is pure chauvinism (and no surprise Chauvin was french). Erik
"What is the purpose of a forum if not for everyone to follow the discussion." In the case of this forum it would be to minimise the number of technical support calls Keil has to deal with. They get our services for free. Stefan
