installing opengl es interceptor library on unrooted device

Hello Forum,

I am trying to run graphics analyser (from the latest DS000-BN-00000-r22p0-00rel1 installed package) and I get a message "couldn't find 32-bit opengl es interceptor library" in the device manager screen and not able to proceed beyond that point.

I came across this resolution Graphics Analyzer User Guide Version 5.5 (arm.com). But this will need the device to have root access to copy the library under /system/lib directory.

Unfortunately my device is not rooted and I am looking for instructions to resolve this issue on a device without root access.

Thank you,

rchakena

  • Without root access you need access to application source code (debuggable) and to just target that application. In the guide you link to you are in the System-wide section, but there is an Unrooted Android section too, with instructions for pre-Android 10, and Android 10+. Incidentally that isn't the guide for the latest version of Graphics Analyzer, you may wish to update to 5.11 to get latest.

This is a bug in this tool release, which will be fixed in the next Arm Development Studio release. If you are unable to use an earlier version, please raise a support case.
