Hi expert,
Is that news is true :( ?
"The upcoming Linux 5.7 kernel is preparing to bid farewell to KVM virtualization support on 32-bit ARM architectures"
If it did, bad news for a lot...
It is, though the news is some months old. I think running 32bit guests on a 64bit kvm host should still work.
For sure it still work, but we lost the ability tu use it on small 32bits board :(...
i don't understand the fact to remove it... Just stopping the support must was suffisant.
If the feature isn't/won't be supported, why keep it around?
One can run an older kernel; or upgrade to appropriate 64bit boards. What kind of virtualization workload do these small 32bit boards see?
For sure... In this way, migrate progressively to an 64bit board may be the best solution.unfortunatly still on oldest kernel, may block some developpement
