Hi,
Today I received my Arm versatile express board, which has only LogicTile 20MG (no other board) on it on Daughter board 2 section. I have no idea how to bring it up.
So,
my questions are,
1) is there a tutorial out there which does the bring up?\
2) I believe my only option is to use SMM-A57
- Where do I download the bit file to flash onto LogicTile?
- How do I flash it?
3) Are there any bare metal applications on it?
4) How can I boot linux on it?
- How to prepare the Filesystem? Where to download it?
- Which Linux Kernel? Where to download it?
- Bootloader? Which One? UBoot? - where to download it?
- Do I prepare an SD Card or do a ethernet boot?
Thanks
Hi Ronan,
I have read through there, however nothing has addressed my problem. Here is what I found out:
- My board is an old board, on the motherboard, I don't have a ARM chip, instead I have a Xilinx Spartan Chip, Mother Board Revision : HBI190D, I think I have a very old version of the Juno board. I don't have HDMI, I have DVI Output,
- The only option I have is to flash a soft core to logic tile and boot linux from there. there was no section talking about it.
Hi Ben,
My apologies, I misread your original mail... you are correct, you do indeed have a (long obsolete) Versatile Express Motherboard, used to implement an SMM system:
https://developer.arm.com/tools-and-software/development-boards/fpga-prototyping-boards/soft-macro-models
The FPGA would need to be reprogrammed by Arm directly.
It is probably best you raise a support request with Arm to get advise on how to proceed.
