When gdb for windows host will support Python ?

In release notes of 11.3.Rel1 is written:
In the Windows hosted toolchains, GDB is provided without Python support.

When it is planned to release a GDB version for windows that supports Python ?
GDB with Python support is required to perform better debugging of RUST code.

  • Hello,

With regards to future releases, I am unable to comment on a timeframe for when Python3 support will be added to GDB on Windows hosts. In the previous release, 11.2-2022.02, GDB was provided with Python2 support for Windows hosts. However, since Python2 has reached end of life, this has been removed.

If you would like to use GDB with Python2, then you could use release 11.2-2022.02, which can also be downloaded from developer.arm.com/.../arm-gnu-toolchain-downloads.
