booting linaro kernel in secure mode

Note: This was originally posted on 20th December 2011 at http://forums.arm.com

Hi,

Is it possible to boot Linaro kernel in secure mode? I am trying to modify the ACTLR register but it is write-ignore. I am using Snowball board and booting Linux from u-boot.

Thanks

This is nothing really to do with the kernel - it's going to depend on the boot infrastructure in the device - I assume by the time you get to u-boot the CPU has already been switched across to non-secure by the first level boot in ROM.

You may get more luck asking on the Snowball forums.
