Does DS-5 support realtime soft tracing?
The Lauterbach debugger provides this via the FDX feature. You do not need hardware tracing capability or any extended memory on the traget to buffer the trace info/data. You basically use and compile a special printf() function in the firmware. When the target firmware executes the special printf() function, it sends the message to the debugger software (TRACE32 in the case of Lauterbach). Segger provides this capability for the J-Link as well.
