Dear members,
Even if my previous question posted on the group
was not too successful at getting replies
, I don't intend to give up
!
In order to help members identify the ability of each others and
to thank for their participation
, I have introduced the rating of posts and threads:
If you think a post is of value: click on the +1 at the bottom right. (and -1 if it makes you unhappy).
This impacts the "reputation" of members... A way to say thank you to the members who help you or ask interesting questions...
Same thing on threads, you can add stars on them in order to indicate where the valuable content is.
Finally, I have added some level of membership. This will guide both new members and more senior ones in knowing who they are talking to. I mean, if a person has posted 500 times, he/she must know he/she's talking about... hopefully!!
Also, from now on, all blunt advert on ARM Tech will be either binned or moved to ARM Misc if relevant... But of course, if you really want advert, feel welcome to shout
That's all for now.
My next idea would be to give away some boards, like a
NXP Cortex-M0 LPCXpresso
or maybe a
Nuvoton Cortex-M0
board to best contributor(s), interested?
Cheers,
Alban

Yesterday I posted an advert about the latest release of Astrobe our Cortex-M3 Development System. I checked the newsgroup rules first and made sure I posted it on ARM Misc and not ARM Tech. Today when I looked it was no longer there. Was it deleted deliberately? If so, why?

Good morning Chris,
You are welcome to advertise your commercial products through the ARM Connected Community. This free promotion programme is available at
http://cc.arm.com
.
Visitors use the search facility to find products.
Members of the ARM Connected Community can also send their ARM related news links to
connected@arm.com
so they can be promoted through social media and also potentially in the ARM Partner News section of arm.com/news.
Forum members complained about advertisement in the past. But in order to increase visibility in forums, you could answer questions.
Your company will gain exposure thanks to your signature and the quality of replies.
I hope this addresses your question.
Kindly,
Alban
