L6000U: Out of memory error

When i compile my module, i get the following link error L6000U: Out of memory error. This happens only when i compile with --dwarf2 option. This option is required for me to debug on device. I have 4GB Ram on my desktop. But the virual memory usage is just going till 2.5 GB and returns with this error. Please do suggest me anything on this

There is a patch note "Improved memory usage, to prevent 'out of memory' issues when linking objects with complex debug data.", so it might be of use.
