Hi,
Having purchased the DS5 licence just to be able to use RVCT 3.1, I am having installation issues.
I've downloaded the file; RVS31-BN-00000-r3p-1-00rel0.tgz from the ARM Downloads site.
I intend to use RVCT on Ubuntu 14.01 (I know this to be tried and tested and functions fine)
I extracted it and from the Terminal I tried to install with the command ./setuplinux.bin
This fails "unable to execute ./setuplinux.bin: No such file or directory.
Please can anyone help ASAP as I have an urgent build that I need to do.
Thanks in advance,
Simon.
Hi Simon,
If you need urgent support - I suggest raising a support ticket here: Self-Service
They should be able to work through the problem with you. If you've just purchased a DS-5 license, you're entitled to a year's support and maintenance.
Cheers,
Joe
Have you checked that the file has execution permissions?
Also, RVCT 3.1 used 32-bit binaries. Do you have the 32-bit libraries/ld installed?
Try this link:
64 bit - How to run 32-bit app in Ubuntu 64-bit? - Ask Ubuntu
(Disclaimer, it's a third party website, no connection to ARM and I haven't checked the steps myself)
Isn't RVCT linked to RealView and not DS-5?
