Hi Everyone,
I just downloaded 64bit ARM Development Studio 5 (DS-5) for windows 7. It installs successfully. But when I double click eclipse.exe in c:\program files\DS-5\bin, I get error box showing something like this:
Failed to create the child process for 'c:\program files\DS-5\bin..\sw\eclipse\eclipse.exe' '"C:\program files\DS-5\bin..\sw\eclipse\eclipse.exe"'. Error code (1260).
How can we get this DS-5 studio to work in win7 when software restriction policy is applied. The restriction policy basically does not allow running any programs that are not in c:\program files, c:\windows folders and a few other folders that are specified by the administrator. Clearly DS-5 is running some child processes in some other unknown folders. But what are they? Is there a way to get it work properly whan a software restriction policy is in place?
Thanks,
George.
I am trying to add the following text to explain the main purpose of the first post:
Some of you may ask why you need software restriction along with DS5. Well, in the company setting, we use software restriction policy to fight virus, malware, ransomware and all the other unwanted software. Too bad, this DS5 is not supporting the fight. All the anti-virus is reactive (meaning someone must be sick first before a vaccine becomes available) while this approach is proactive.
