ULINKpro (D) Debugger Compatibility with Cortex-A7 using DS-5 Pro

Hello All,

I've began to work with my DS-5 (pro version) tool on a custom board based on Cortex-A7 processor. I am currently looking for an alternative to DStream for the debugger probe. It seems that ULinkPro is listed on the website as the supported debugger option. However, it seems to only support selected Cortex-A devices (https://developer.arm.com/tools-and-software/embedded/debug-probes). And looking at the list from the supported devices (https://developer.arm.com/tools-and-software/embedded/legacy-tools/ds-5-development-studio/resources/supported-devices), it doesn't seem to support the board I am using.

Does that mean that DStream is the only option in my case? Or is there a way to get ULinkPro supported by DS-5 on a Cortex-A7 processor?

Thank you,

Chee

  • Hi Chee,

ULinkPro does support Cortex-A7 when using DS-5 (or its successor - the Arm Development Studio).

It seems this was accidentally omitted from the list of supported target processors on the web page.
