Is the Starter Editor still a thing?
Im trying to use it with no luck, the error I get is;
"Failed to setup licensing. It looks like licensing file or sewer is not found,...."
I already checked multiply times for my ARMLMD_LICENSE_FILE environment setup;
ARMLMD_LICENSE_FILE=/Users/####/Downloads/mobilestudio-macosx/data/starter_edition.dat
its look right for me, I do have the file there.
Any idea?
Thanks
I'm having this same issue on both Ubuntu Linux and Windows 10. Was a fix ever found? Instead of automatically creating a license with your account there just isn't any support at all. Each time I launch the program it shows the error message then quits.
Not aware of any issues on Windows or Linux. Are you running the latest version? The built in license has an expiry date - typically 1.5 years from time of first release.
Yes, latest version of Windows 10 and then Ubuntu 20.04.1 as a VM on VirtualBox (hosted on a Macbook). I signed up for an account earlier this week and then used my login credentials to download the version for both Linux and Windows (I tried Windows first and when it didn't work tried out Linux). The documentation for installation mentioned that the license setup would launch when the streamline application is first launched. Instead, I get the error shown in the attached image.
It looks like you have installed Development Studio, instead of Mobile Studio. The tools are similar, but the builds are different and have different licensing restrictions.
For Arm Mobile Studio Starter Edition, download from here:

Kind regards, Pete
That worked. Thank you.
